5 realistic replacements for Trent Alexander-Arnold at Liverpool

Liverpool has to plan a future without a Trent Alexander-Arnold, while the local LAD takes part in Real Madrid.

While it is still complete, it seems to be more inevitable that the product of the academy in the footsteps of Michael Owen and Steve McManaman will step for the shine of the Santiago Bernabeu when it comes to adoration of the Aufield quantity.

Alexander-Arnold will leave an enormous emptiness on his departure and thankfully Liverpool already has an impressive deputy to fill his shoes. Conor Bradley has repeatedly shown his ability to step on the plate and is probably considered a natural successor.

For the purposes of depth and healthy competition, however, Liverpool will undoubtedly try to sign a new right-back in summer, regardless of whether it is a prefabricated replacement for Alexander-Arnold or a highly potential boy.

Here are five right -backs who could realistically recruit Liverpool.

Liverpool could use Alexander-Arnold’s outcome to sign a more defensive replacement, but if you are looking for someone who replaces the exceptional threat to attack by the English international, Bayer Leverkusen’s Jeremie Frimpong will probably be among the pioneers.

The 24-year-old has established himself as one of the elite of Europe in the last seasons and was an integral part of the last term of the last term of Leverkusen’s amazing domestic double, which provided 11 goals and ten templates in the Bundesliga and DFB Cup. Only a few of his positional colleagues offer greater quality of attack.

However, Frimpong played as a wingback in the 3-4-2-1 system from Xabi Alonso and enables him to freedom of the right flank without so many defensive responsibilities. He would not grant this luxury in Arne Slots Liverpool setup.

Frimpong, who was even used as a winger for Leverkusen and the Dutch national team, would be a risky addition in view of his current approach in Liverpool despite his extraordinary talent.

Vanderson

Vanderson has quietly turned Monaco into an impressive right -back with Monaco and generally guided his business out of the spotlight. The 23-year-old has quickly become more important for the Ligue 1 outfit since his signing by Gremio in 2021/22.

The Brazilian, who now has five caps for the Selecao, is used to playing in a flat back four and having contributed regularly with goals and templates in recent years. He has two strikes and four templates to his name in this semester – only shy compared to the ten goal contributions by Alexander -Arnold – and was particularly impressed by his distribution.

Vanderson has a suitable accuracy of 78% in Ligue 1 this season – higher than Alexander -Arnolds 73.9% – and has a better medium and long -term conclusion than No. 66 from Liverpool.

In cooperation with an impressive defensive nous, in which he won 1 71.7% of his duels in Ligue 1 in Ligue, Vanderson offers the entire package.

Givairo Las

Liverpool was associated with the former Feyenoord page in Slot in search of reinforcements. The 18-year-old Givairo has read since Lutsharel Geertrauida’s departure last summer. He made 24 appearances in all competitions after giving his senior debut under slot last season and providing seven templates since he established himself as a leading legal detergent of the Dutch team.

The Reds already have a cohort of Dutch players – although Virgil van Dijk Anfield could leave this summer – and the slot will be well aware of the immense potential of the Feyenoord starlet.

Read could show an inexpensive option, although the experience of his position seniors was missing, and might prove the perfect second line -up towards Bradley if the Northern Irishman is promoted to the right of the first choice for the Reds.

Martim Fernandes

Another teenager, which is apparently intended for size, emerged from the Porto talent factory. Martim Fernandes enjoyed an enormous breakout campaign this year. After the 19-year-old had made six appearances last season, he more than quadrupled this Tally in 2024/25.

The fast, offensive full-back has proven to be a hit in the Estadio do Dragao and managed five templates in 18 appearances in the Primeira League this season. Porto also has the best defensive record in the division, with Fernandes playing its role in a strict backline that gives less than one goal per game.

With impressive technical skills and a long passport for such a young player, he could be an excellent replacement for Alexander-Arnold in the long term.

Jules Kounde

If Liverpool is looking for a more established right -back, Jules Kounde could become a realistic option. While the defender of Barcelona earns numerous minutes in Catalonia, the financial situation of La Blaugrana could force you this summer to sell star talents. There were even reports that indicate that customers could not extend his current contract in the near future.

The 26-year-old has a lot of experience that plays at the elite level, and although he was announced because of his defensive skills, he also contributed to eleven goals for Barcelona this season. The France international is an all-rounder.

Counds can also be able to play a central defender, and offers greater versatility than most others, with its one-to-one ability and body to ensure that he is one of the outstanding right-back in Europe.

The man from Barcelona would be an expensive addition and completely differs from Alexander-Arnold, but it cannot deny his quality.
