Chelsea is ready to stand by Manager Enzo Maresca, even if the blues do not qualify for the Champions League of the next season, according to a report.
The blues flew up in the first half of the season, but a dramatic burglary in the form has drawn Chelsea from outdoor title candidates to top five hopes. Maresca’s team remains in control of their own fate, but there are an exciting end of the season against Manchester United and Nottingham Forest, while they also have the final of the Conference League against Real Betis to navigate.
Several fans switched on Maresca in 2025, and there were even suggestions that the Italian split the opinion of those on the upper floor in Chelsea, but but The Telegraph insist that at least for the 2025/26 campaign.
Maresca is bound to a five -year contract, but it is emphasized that the plan should always give it at least two seasons before carrying out a formal performance check.
While Chelsea would obviously prefer to see the Champions League qualification and success in the conference league this season, no performance is considered necessary so that Maresca maintains his job.
A great interest in Maresca’s services should be given both from the Premier League and the European mainland -Roma has recently been appointed as an applicant by reports -but Chelsea does not want to lose the 45 -year -old in this phase.
In a review at the end of the season, Chelsea will continue to evaluate the performance of this season and identify areas for the summer transfer window, but the future of Maresca will not be prominent in discussions between high -ranking officials.
It is believed that those responsible were impressed by what they perceive as a progress on the field, although Chelsea was still able to take place in sixth place in the second season in a row. Maresca has won many in the meeting room with his style of play and his statistics, which indicate that further steps can be taken next season.
