However, it is assumed that the Elsters enable Wilson to go free of charge if he has the opportunity to play football from the first team elsewhere.

Wilson presented 20 times for Newcastle in all competitions this season, but has only registered one goal that came in the FA Cup.

Of these 20 appearances, he only started twice.

The season of the 33-year-old was largely derailed by back and thigh injuries.

In the program in front of Newcastles 2-0 victory against Chelsea last Sunday, Wilson described the campaign as “one of my worst”.

“For me it was a mixed campaign,” Wilson wrote.

“As a collective, it was one of the best campaigns and teams that I was part of – but individual it was one of my worst seasons.

“I no longer scored a goal in the Premier League this season, which is unknown to me. But I know that there is a goal somewhere.

“You have to be ready to grasp your opportunity when it comes, and I am sure that I will play a big role in the next three games.”

Wilson’s miserable run with fitness problems continued a well -known topic from his 2023/24 campaign, in which Wilson missed 23 games due to a mix of injuries and illnesses.

Before this season, Wilson proved why Newcastle achieved an estimated £ 20 million for his services in September 2020 when he hit 18 goals from 31 league lights.

In Wilson’s impressive transport, he was fourth in the Golden Boot Race and Marcus Rashford, Ollie Watkins and Bukayo Saka this season, to name just three.

It also helped to bring Newcastle to fourth place when they qualified for the Champions League.

Apart from injuries, Wilson stuck in St. James ‘Park behind Alexander Isak in the Hack Regulations in St. James’ Park in the last two seasons.

Isak was in a bidder form and scored 25 goals in 40 games in all competitions for the ToON LAST season.

The Swede took exactly where he had stopped and achieved 23 league to his name, with two candlesticks as Eddie Howe’s team being closed in a Champions League return.

Simon Jordan tells Leeds and Burnley how much they have to spend to stay in the Premier League

Leeds will try to strengthen her attack options to avoid an immediate return to the championship.

The Yorkshire outfit secured the automatic action when they won the championship with a total of 100 points.

Joel Piroe played a leading role in promotion when he scored 19 league goals, a number that was good enough to win the golden boot of the championship.

However, the 25-year-old’s 19-goal train is the lowest amount that the golden boot has won since the 1992/93 season.

The earlier record for very few goals that were necessary to win the golden boots in the championship belonged to Marlon King and Matej Vydra, who scored 21 goals for Watford and Burnley in 2005 and 2017/18.
