American football and European football can differ greatly in rules, culture and global perception – but they have a surprising number of similarities. Both are ball sports, both have massive global followers and both have a deep connection to fashion – on and off the field.
Now these two worlds will collide again with the help of Nike.
According to leaked images that have shared sneaker insiders Romeo on X, Nike and the National Football League (NFL) take several European football clubs to create special jerseys in American football style.
The leaked designs include shirts for Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Atlético Madrid, all with white bases, oversized numbers on the front and back, V-neck collar with the NFL logo and club discs on the sleeves.
Footy headlines Unveiling The cooperation is part of the construction of the FIFA World Cup 2026, which begins on June 11, 2026 in the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The collection is expected to decrease soon, although it remains unclear whether additional clubs will be involved.
This is not the first time that Nike has crossed these sports flows. Already in 2018, the brand published a similar American-inspired range for Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona and Tottenham Hotspur-Obwohl.
Interestingly, Tottenham, whose stadium today acts as a de -facto home of the NFL London Games, did not present in the current round of leaked designs.
But with a European trophy that has now proudly contributed to her cabinet, Spurs fans will probably not lose sleep due to fashion collabs.
