Before every Formula 1 breed, celebrities and VIPs from all over the world become invited to the network in the moments before the out-a tensory tradition, which has become an important part of the spectacle for the race day.
But with this privilege there is an unwritten (but sacred) rule: If you are in the grid, you will be expected to speak to reporters when you approach.
Not everyone follows this rule – and Arsenal and England star Bukayo Saka were the last ones who unintentionally stepped out of the line.
In front of the Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona, Saka was spotted on the grid next to the English teammates Eberechi Eze and Trevoh Chalobah when Sky Sports F1 moderator Simon Lazenby turned to him with a simple question: “Who supports today?”
Saka’s answer? “Not much to say.” Lazenby continued quickly.
But nearby was the F1 world champion Nico Rosberg 2016, who seemed to be less than impressed by Saka’s reluctance to get involved.
“It wasn’t very friendly,” said Rosberg, before turning his attention to the Newcastle defender Dan Burn, who turned out to be much more talkative.
It is good that Saka Martin Brundle did not wear, who usually leads the raster walk and is known for his funny comeback. Just ask Pep Guardiola, who gave Brewdel the cold shoulder at the Grand Prix 2022 Abu Dhabi and said he had already spoken to the sky twice that day.
When the security blasted gently joked, he joked: “It’s okay. I was thrown from better places than it.”
Classic Brundle – and a memory that you are better ready for the microphone if you want to walk the network.
