Martin Zubimendi questioned his Arsenal transfer despite reporting last week that it was a deal.
The real Sociedad midfielder rejected Liverpool for the first time last summer and has been in demand by the Gunners since then and agreed with them in early May.

The transfer window will be opened shortly, where a deal could be officially completed, but Zubimendi has now surprised with some comments under national service with Spain.
In conversation with a local Basque outfit about his future, the 26-year-old said: “Of course there are options.
“But it is true that it looks like it would be another long summer and I don’t know how it will end.
“I don’t think that thinking about it is my priority. I am here with the national team, which in my opinion is quite demanding, and if I have to say something, I’ll do it.”
The winner of the Euro 2024 caused a drama last week when he uploaded a photo on his local beach in Sagues, while reports claimed that he was a doctor at the Emirates.
When asked why he uploaded the controversial contribution, Zubimendi replied: “It is an example of what football surrounds.
“I often wake up in the morning and read things that I didn’t know I had done. It was a clear example.
“It is true that I don’t take it very seriously, but I still uploaded these photos to emphasize a little that it wasn’t exactly the reality that happened.”
Together with Arsenal, Zubimendi was regularly associated with Real Madrid, who are looking for the football legend Luka Modric after strengthening the midfield.
The assumption in Spain was that Arsenal had won the race for number six, but a new arrival in the Bernabeu shelter could change things.

Zubimendi crossed paths with his child’s hero in the Real Sociedads Academy when Xabi Alonso trained the B team.
After Alonso hung up his boots as a player, Alonso spent three years as a coach of the youth man of his local team before he was in Bayer Leverkusen to Bayer Leverkusen and now in a double winner with Bayer Leverkusen.
The former midfielder helped Zubimendi, a legend of the Laliga regulation and Copa del Rey with Real Sociedad, while not only with Spain, but also the 2023 Nations League Euro 2024.
At the question of linking back to Alonso in the capital, Zubimendi was again not communicated.
“I always said that he was my idol and that it was lucky for me that he was able to train me in the reserve team in a very important year,” he said.
“The following year I was already in the first team and I don’t like to talk about these hypotheses, I prefer to talk about the present.
“I also think that it would be disrespectful to respond from the national team’s training camp and to face such an important competition.”
