Bruno Fernandes quoted his wish to continue playing “at the highest level” as the main reason why he rejected Al Hilals lucrative progress.
The Red Devils captain rejected a moment of £ 700,000 a week to join the Saudi Arabian club after he had discussions with his family and united chief Ruben Amorim.

The Saudi chiefs had grown in trust in the achievement of an agreement with the 30-year-old and were ready to drive an astonishing offer of 100 million GBP for his services for his services.
But that is now from the cards.
Fernandes in conversation with the media before the semi -finals of the Nations League in Portugal against Germany against Germany increased the lid as it came to its decision.
“There was a chance,” said Fernandes.
“The [Al Hilal] President called me and asked if I wanted to go there. They waited for me.
“I spoke to coach Amorim. He asked me not to go.
“Manchester United didn’t want to sell me. They don’t need the money.
“If I wanted to go, they would have made it.”
Fernandes admitted that a Saudi switch “would have been a simple step” even at a family level.
“I had Joao Cancelo there, my children are used to playing with him in the national team, we have a great friendship,” added Fernandes.

“But I want to keep myself at the highest level and play in the big competitions. And I feel able to do so.”
Fernande’s decision to reject the wealth of Saudi Arabia was of great joy to the former World Cup winner Emmanuel Petit, who described him as a “remarkable” call by the United Skipper.
“Money is a big deal in football,” said Petit in White and Jordan from Talksport.
“Players, especially this generation, I will not say that this has not been the case in the past, but I think it is becoming increasingly important.
“Money is becoming more and more important than winning and having a great career.
“And I have to thank Bruno, for what they did, because they would have left Manchester United and could accept the huge money. The offer on the table was incredible and he rejected it.

“For me, that means his commitment to the club, his love for Manchester United, his passion for the Premier League.
“He wants to play at the highest level and I find it remarkable.
“To be honest, I don’t know how many players would have done it.”
Fernande’s’ decision to stay is a big boost for United, as she pursues a deal for Brentford star Bryan Mbumo, which has a value of 50 million GBP.
The 13-fold Premier League winners tried to run their business at an early stage and have already confirmed the recording of Matheus Cunha of Wolves of 62.5 million GBP.
After Fernandes, Cunha through the door and Mbumo, closer to the accession, Amorim will go into the next season with a wealth of attacking players to eat opportunities.
However, Fernandes will want to see a significant improvement in his team, as they took 15th place in the Premier League and will not play European football next season.
Despite the dark campaign of United 2024/25, the 30-year-old scored 19 goals and 19 templates in all competitions and did not play in just three of her 60 games.
Fernandes has made 290 appearances in six seasons for United and is only two goals away from reaching a century.
