Cristiano Ronaldo confirmed that he would stay with Al Nassr and ended the speculation that he signed a short-term deal for playing at the FIFA Club World Championship.
A number of teams that play in the reformed summer competition were associated with interest in the global superstar – including one of the representatives of the Premier League.

The mini transfer window closes in a few days between June 1st and June 10th and it was believed that it could connect Ronaldo to a team in summer to give the tournament a star pot.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino actually announced that this could happen. The football boss, who begins the New Format Club World Championship with people such as Ronaldo, Lionel Messi, Erling Haaland, Kylian Mbappe and Ousmane Dembele on the field.
“Ronaldo could also play for one of the teams at the World Club Championship, there are discussions,” Infantino said in a bizarre interview with Youtuber Ishow Speed, which was livestream from his bedroom.

“It is almost decided that despite many invitations and suggestions at the FIFA Club World Championship, I will not take part,” said Ronaldo in an interview before the Nations League final in Portugal against Spain on Sunday.
“There were conversations, contacts … but you have to think about short, medium and long -term thinking.”

Portugal won the Nations League and Ronaldo achieved a balance of the 61st minute before the game was decided in penalties.
After the game, Ronaldo said: “My future? Basically nothing will change. Stay with Al Nassr? Yes.”
There was a lot of speculation beyond Ronaldo’s future beyond the competition of this summer.
Ronaldo carried rumors about a possible departure from Saudi Arabia with a cryptic social media post after Al Nassr’s last game of the season.
Ronaldo posted on social media after another trophylose campaign: “This chapter is over. The story? You are still being written. Grateful.”
However, the Saudi -Pro League club was firmly convinced that the talks would continue to extend his stay in the Middle East two years after its arrival from Manchester United.
Fernando Hierro, sports director of Al Nassr, said at a press conference at the end of May: “We are still in negotiations with Cristiano. Hopefully we will find a solution to a renewal.
“Cris is now with his national team with a few days off. His contract runs until June 30th.

“Without a doubt everyone is working to ensure that they continue here.
“There is a strong thrust from all over the country for him, and that will also be very important for him.”
