Bryan Mbeumo told to snub big-money Manchester United transfer for Premier League rival

Manchester United suffered hands with Tottenham Hotspurs – and they now hope that Spurs will not kidnap their step for Bryan Mbumo.

Talksport understands that the striker from Brentford is on a switch to Old Trafford because Spurs could try their luck and the Red Devils are willing to meet his requirements for £ 250,000 a week.

But Arsenal Icon Perry Groves said The Cameroon internationally that he should connect with Ruben Amorim’s men to join Tottenham, who will compete in the Champions League next season.

After her defeat against her Premier League competitors, United will not pursue her trade on the continent in the final of the second tournament in Europe.

And if Mbumo ends up in Nord -London, he could be reunited with Brentford boss Thomas Frank, who, after Poseteclous, agreed to take on Spurs.

Mbumo, who has another year in the GTECH community Stadium, made 27 contributions for the Premier League goal in the 2024/25 season. Only Mohamed Salah, Alexander Isak and Erling Haaland achieved more.

In the Sunday session, Garroves admitted that Tottenham is best suited for Mbumo’s progress as a footballer.

He said: “He should go in terms of football – and it hurts me to say it – he should go to Spurs because of the Champions League football and want to play at the highest level.

“But financially, so Spurs will have difficulty going on [potential transfer]. “

Before adding: “Because all top teams pay their top players £ 200,000 per week plus.

“Spurs will never do that.”

Co-moderator Ade Oladipo then claimed that MBeumo would follow Frank to Spurs, but like Grove, Tottenham believes not to be able to offer him the salary he expects.

It is the same view that the English legend Stuart Pearce shared, who insisted that Mbumo, if the money is correct, would choose Spurs via United.

He said in the sports breakfast show: “I think it’s the relationship between him and the manager.

“Obviously he goes very well with him, it seems to be from the outside, and everything also depends on finances when they meet his efforts.

“The matter is also with Tottenham, he doesn’t have to leave London.

“So if he does not want to change his city in any form or form, it is ideal for him.”

Spurs still have to formalize their interest in Mbumo, which has already been the subject of a failed offer of United.

Thomas Frank reveals that Brentford could sell Bryan Mbumo this summer

Talksport understands an offer of £ 45 million, plus £ 10 million in add-ons was submitted in Brentford last week.

However, Brentford struck back when they held back for a fee of 60 million GBP.

A deal of 60 million GBP would put its sale of 40 million GBP in the shade Ivan Toney to Al Ahli last year.
