Newcastle saw two offers for Trafford last summer, although they had agreed personal conditions with the shooting stop.
Trafford stayed in Burnley and enjoyed a great season when the Clarets achieved an automatic action in the Premier League.
The first rejected offer of the Magpies last summer was assumed that it was £ 15 million of £ 15 million – 12 months later that Burnley sparked a price of 30 million GBP to the goalkeeper.
The return of the Clarets to the top flight leaves them in a stronger financial position to replace their No. 1 and at the same time issue a higher fee, thanks to his impressive displays in the championship, in which he kept 29 clean leaves in 45 appearances.
Newcastle is hardly strapped for goalkeepers, but it is expected that the club’s talents are moving.
Howe wants Trafford Nick Pope Nick Pope to compete with the current goalkeeper from First-Choice next season instead of replacing the 22-year-old.
In the meantime, the futures Martin Dubravka, Mark Gillespie and John Ruddy remain unclear.
The magpies have an increased number of games that have to deal with the next season after the Champions League qualification.
And it seems that Trafford is more than ready to take the step up and move to the St. James’ Park after he had almost completed his change in 2024.
“I wanted to move last summer because the club fit me well at that time,” said Trafford in his Fozcast show about Ben Foster.

“It was brilliant for me, I really believed it and I really wanted to move. Not because I didn’t want to play in the championship, I had no shame or no ego to be better than ‘I am a championship’. You only prove that you are better than something when you appeared and show.
“It was precisely when the opportunity and a situation that they believe that they fit can pass, they should take them and they should choose.
“So I wanted to move and it was close, but it didn’t happen. The manager [Scott Parker] Was brilliant with me throughout the previous season because I was obviously moody because I wanted to move. “
Trafford quickly faced a crucial campaign for Burnley in her hope of an immediate return of leaders.
Since he had earned his place in Parker’s team, Trafford has led with extreme professionalism and showed why his existence has increased rapidly in the last seasons.
However, Trafford warned that he remains ambitious and has set his goals for a club who challenges himself at the head of the Premier League.

“I have always shown the top of the premium here,” he added. “Everyone wants to go there and everyone wants to play there.
“I know that to get there you have to play games so that when I go back, wherever I end up, whenever, I am ready for it and best for the performance.”
Howe will be interested in completing the signing as soon as possible if the May -Hijack Newcastle Transfer plans of the competitive club.
“Speed is the key because we have to be dynamic, we have to be ready to complete things very quickly, because good players don’t hang around long,” said Howe last month.
“It has always been my thought and message about recruitment because you can have a time when you think you have time – but then look around quickly and see that this time has passed and you missed the possibilities you can’t get again.”
