Everton may be preparing for an exciting first season in the Hill Dickinson Stadium – but they were told that they shouldn’t inject the money.
This is the view of the former boss Sean Dyche, who was responsible for the Toffees when they were docked twice in the 2023/24 campaign.
The Merseyside outfit was initially hit with a ten-point punishment that was reduced to six because they violated the profitability and sustainability rules of the Premier League in relation to the 2021/22 term.
And just two months later, the following year received another two -point deduction for the violation of PSR.
Everton, who will play in his new 52,888-seater stadium in the 2025/26 season, then announced 53 million pounds for the 2023/24 campaign.
It was the seventh year in a row in which they recorded losses, the number corresponds to a total of 570 million GBP.
After a promising end of the season, in which Everton after David Moyes’ return in January, the fans hope for a strong summer window to seal a first top ten finish since 2021.
However, Dyche has asked the Everton Board to be reasonable on the market if it discusses possible transfers to talk sports.
Talksport understands that Moyes’ team is interested in the departure of Ashley Young based on a contract by Kyle Walker, right -back from Manchester City.
Dyche said of the potential deal: “I mean, you are probably in this phase in which you still need this kind of professional depth of some players.
“We had it with Youngie, obviously Seamus [Coleman]. Kyle Walker, I don’t know him personally.
“But the way he organizes himself, his history and knowledge of the game about the game is quite obvious.

“Well, yes, there are a few players and again, I think it will be invested there.
“But I don’t think it’s wild investments, I don’t think they have hundreds of millions.
“Because they can’t walk along the street we go down.
“Of course you can’t go back [with] They indicate deductions and all these things.
“So it still has to be monitored in the future, I think your expenses.
“I don’t know the truth of the amounts, but it still has to be compensated for against financial fair play to ensure that the club will be better healthy in the future.”

The future of striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin remains a major topic of conversation with Everton, and his contract will be released at the end of the month.
The 28-year-old, who was signed by Sheffield United in 2016, was impressed by numerous injuries in which he missed 111 games in all competitions.
A bone strike in the 2024/25 season limited England International to 26 Premier League games – where he only found the back of the network three times.
Dyche was urged whether Everton should try to keep Calvert-Lewin in the club, and noticed: “Cathedral, it just keeps it fit and keeps it in the sense of fitness.
“And I think that’s his next step now and stays fit.
“I mean in general, we made it fit, we brought him there, but then of course he declined at the end of this season.

“He still has a lot to offer, he’s not old, he is quiet. I think he’s 27 [28]To this brand. “
Dyche comments on whether he takes over insider information about Calvert-Lewin, and added: “I didn’t fidget with all the people who find out what’s going on in the gossip.
“So I don’t know about it, but I read that they were in any form of conversations with a cathedral and you can see why – strikes are difficult to find.
“And if you can get it up and running, I know that it was a bit of if because he almost got going again and then did not completely fired.
“But if you can, you have to see it as a serious option, but it keeps it fit or fit, keeps him fit and this motivation to go really hard to be the top striker I know can be.”
