Chelsea was not ready to go higher before the tournament.

It was never considered an essential gitten for the World Cup, and now he had presented in the competition for Dortmund. Chelsea cannot register gods for the Knockout stage.

Dortmund is ready to sell Gittens because it is not seen as a tactical fit in the club, although he can be seen in 49 games in 2024/25 and contributed 12 goals and five templates in all competitions.

Talksport understands that Chelsea seal a transfer for around 45 million GBP and are not far from the evaluation of Dortmund.

It was assumed that the parties were only about £ 5 million apart at the last trial.

The clubs are currently in fresh and advanced conversations about the structure of the deal, with Chelsea optimistic its third offer.

Dortmund wants a large part of the fee paid in advance.

Chelsea also appreciates the Alejandro Garnacho by Manchester United and Lyons Malick Fofana, but has now excluded a change for athletic Bilbaos Nico Williams due to the total cost of transmission.

The Spanish winger lasts for Barcelona when he leaves Bilbao, while Bavaria also fights for his signature.

Gitten is Chelsea’s top choice and a breakthrough could come before the end of June.

European football expert Andy Brassell compared the pursuit of Gitten of Blues with the signing of Christian Pulisic in 2019.

The American started from Dortmund six years ago, with the move shared several similarities to the current transfer saga.

Brassell told Talksports Trans Europe Express: “If we look at Jamie Gitten, there is a large amount of potential and current quality.

“He is someone who is a very direct winger who comes from the left. A very Mazy dribbler, but there is almost always a shot at the end.

“He is someone who scored goals and could score much more goals in the future.

“But I think we also have to look back from half in a season. With Niko Kovac, the coach of Dortmund, he didn’t really get along well and has hardly been on a team since Kovac.

“So it’s a bit like the Christian Pulisan situation when he went to Chelsea all the years ago.”

Pulisic finally completed a £ 57.6 million to Stamford Bridge in January 2019 before it was loaned for the rest of the campaign.

The USA scored 26 goals internationally and delivered 21 assists for Chelsea before it was sold to AC Milan in 2023.
