Tottenham snubbed as top Cristian Romero replacement target signs new deal


Jarrad Branthwaite has completed a new long -term deal in a summer transfer bubbles to Tottenham at Everton.

The central defender has extended his stay in the Toffees by 2030 and remains an integral part of their defense under David Moyes.

“I’m overjoyed,” said Branthwaite. “It was something that we have talked about since the end of the season, and it is something I really got about.

“The trust that the club put in me and how many games I played in the last two seasons has made it a easy decision for me to continue as a player and to get ahead.

“I know the club. I feel loved by the players – we have a good group here – and the fans. In recent years I have seen how the fans have approached us as a team and how much it means for them.

“And with the new stadium that we have here, the new property and the new manager, it is an exciting project and it is something I want to be part of.

“We are all happy to go to the new stadium together and have the first game at home. We want to go again and push for a good season.”

Manchester United failed a persecution to Branthwaite last summer, with Chelsea being interested in a party this time.
