Leeds United has left a deal to sign Dominic Calvert-Lewin due to his wage requirements, Talksport understands.
Calvert-Lewin left Everton after the end of his contract and is now a free agent before the next season.

Leeds’ championship winners were interested in the 28-year-old and spoke to him in June.
However, the striker wanted too much money to move to the Elland Road, and left Daniel Farke’s side no choice but not to pursue any more.
It is assumed that Calvert-Lewin should join an association that gives him the opportunity to play European football.
The front man could also be attracted by a Premier League club, which will probably not be threatened by descent.
Calvert-Lewin came to Everton from his boy club Sheffield United for a reported fee of £ 1.5 million in 2016.
With 273 appearances in all competitions, he achieved 71 goals and 22 templates for the Toffees.
He scored 16 goals in her league campaign 2020/21 and was appointed player of the club’s season.
Calvert-Lewin takes third place in Everton’s Premier League All-Time Premier League, which is evaluated behind Legend Duncan Ferguson and guide Romelu Lukaku.
One of his most important goals was that the winner scored against Crystal Palace in Everton’s 3-2 comeback victory to avoid relegation at the end of the 2021/22 season.
The striker announced his exit on Instagram last weekend and wrote: “To Everton Football Club and the Evertonians.

“After nine remarkable years in this club, I made the incredibly difficult decision – together with my family – to start a new chapter in my career.
“I haven’t selected that easily. Everton has been my home since I was 19. It is the place where I saw potential in me, challenged myself to grow and shaped me both as a footballer and as a man.
“I would like to express my thanks to all managers and trainers with whom I have worked with over the years, and my teammates, who have become lifelong friends.
“Above all, I would like to speak to them, the fans. Your passion is the beating heart of this club. Whether the times were good or hard, your unshakable support has never stalled. Celebrating goals in Goodison Park, is an experience that I will carry with me forever.
“With this decision to continue, it was not just about me – it was a decision that my family and I thought about for a long time. We believe that it is the right moment to find a new challenge and continue to grow, but that does not reduce the bond that I will always have with Everton.
“I am deeply proud of what we shared to fight for this club when it was most important, and I scored big goals in crucial moments, the shirt with commitment and pride. I hope that I go with your respect because I know that I have always tried to maintain the values of this big club.

“Thanks for everything. From my first day I always knew what Everton wanted to play. The Toffees high.” Dcl. “
Talksport understands that Everton in principle has made an agreement with Villarreal to sign Thierno Barry.
The striker has a release clause of £ 34 million, but David Moyes’ page was able to negotiate a lower fixed payment of around 28 million GBP.
However, add-ons could take over the deal to a total of 35 million GBP, whereby Barry is considered a replacement for Calvert-Lewin.
