Xavi Simons open to Premier League switch with two clubs in fight to sign RB Leipzig star

The Netherlands International will probably leave RB Leipzig this summer, and it is believed that they will test themselves in England.

Simons changed from Paris Saint-Germain to Leipzig from Paris Saint-Germain in 2023, with the move being permanently being made in January.

For the 22-year-old, the German Giants spent an initial £ 43 million with the deal with 26 million GBP of potential add-ons.

However, it is assumed that not all add-ons from Leipzig have been paid.

But Simons now seems to be outside only a few months after the signing of a contract until 2027.

Talksport recognizes that the Simons applicants want to agree to a fee of 56 million GBP.

With each deal, the add-on of Leipzig is probably required and a sales clause is recorded at the same time.

Simons was connected to Newcastle United, Barcelona and Bayern Munich in this window.

And Chelsea and Arsenal are now in the race and they want to continue their summer collapse.

Simons, who reported reported Bavaria’s progress, is a former view of the Barcelona Academy.

In addition to Simons, Arsenal continues to concentrate on the signing of Eberechi Eze after completing the signature of Noni Madueke in a deal of £ 52 million.

For the Gunners, you will probably only bring in one of EZE or Simons if Gabriel Martinelli and Leandro Trossard both stay in North London.

If one of them goes, Mikel Areteta’s team could see how they can sign both.

Arsenal has not yet submitted a offer for EZE that has a release clause of 68 million GBP, but understands Talksport that the talks with the player continue to continue.

For Chelsea, the blues Simons see as a potential replacement for Christopher Nkunku.

The Frenchman can leave Stamford Bridge this summer, and if he leaves, Enzo Mraesca’s team could move for Simons.

Chelsea has already signed Joao Pedro, Liam Delap and Jamie Gitten in this window, but another attacking player is on the rise.

While Simons often plays as an attacking midfielder, he can either work on wings or as false nine.

And he has certainly proven that he has an eye for the goal after scoring 21 goals for Leipzig in his two seasons.

During his loan stay in the 2022/23 season, he even found the back of the network for PSV.

Simons also found the back of the network against England in the Euro 2024 at Holland’s 2: 1 semi-final defeat.
