Chelsea has no shortage of prominent supporters – from the British budget stars Jeremy Clarkson and Damon Albarn to Hollywood Royalty Michael Caine and Will Ferrell. But in today’s global spotlight, no fan seems brighter than the Canadian rap icon drake.
Now the star with the Grammy Award takes his love for the blues with the start of the ‘Ovo X Chelsea’ collection on the next step-a 16-part streetwear series, which connects the essence of the Drakes Ovo Sound label with Chelseas West London Edge.
The collection has a number of tops, hats and legwear, with the visual identities of both brands merge in fresh, fashionable designs.
The Ovo X Chelsea -Varsity jacket leads the Ovo X Chelsea -University jacket, which is made in Canada made of premium wool, leather and mixed fabrics with embroidered stains over the chest and back.
Also included are the OWL-T-shirt and the Runner T-shirt, which is available in different colors for a cleaner, everyday look, while a long-sleeved T-shirt celebrates the transatlantic connection with number six-one alluding to the nickname of Toronto and Chelsea’s SW6 postcode.
Other highlights are a rugby shirt with a traditional white collar and a cotton body in black or blue as well as a hoodie that gives the Logos of Chelsea and Ovo a fresh shoot. The track jacket and the track pants are black or white with blue details – because of course blue is the color.
The drop is none other than Central Cee, another Chelsea devotee and the British rap superstar, who has teamed up with Drake on the 2023 chart topping “On the Radar Freestyle” with Drake. The campaign – led by the slogan “Two cities, a heartbeat” -As see Central Cee and his crew, which present the range in a chic, urban start video.
The “Ovo X Chelsea” collection is now available via the official Chelsea online shop and the megastore in the Stamford Bridge. Selected colors are exclusively for online purchases. The university jacket is pre-ordered and will start shipping in mid-August.
Regardless of whether you repeat the SIX, SW6 or both – this collaboration is more than Merch, it is a statement.
