Saul has supposedly agreed to sign a few hours after the breakdown of his proposed move to Trabzonspor for Flamengo.
The midfielder left Atletico Madrid after a 17-year stay with the Spanish giants after terminating his contract.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Saul had made an oral agreement with the Turkish side of Trabzonspor over a summer switch.
However, the 30-year-old no longer moves to Turkey.
Saul went on social media to show why his trabzonsporer will not be completed in a bizarre post.
“It didn’t work because of personal things. I hope that one day will cross again,” he said on X.
Instead, Romano has reported that Saul will travel to Brazil and sign for Flamengo.
He has approved a three-year contract in the club orally, which has reached the World Club Championship this summer in the past 16 years.
Flamengo is administered by ex -chelsea and Atletico Defender Filipe Luis, who has won three trophies since the head coach in 2024.
The Flamgo boss and Saul played together 142 times in Atleti in the course of the six seasons.
Also in Flameng is Saul’s former Chelsea teammate Jorgho, who came to Free Agent after his contract in Arsenal.
Saul joined the Real Madrid Academy at the age of 11 before moving to her rival in Atletico in 2008.

He made 427 senior appearances for the club, ninth place in its history, scored 48 goals and supported another 26.
The Spaniard ended Chelsea for the 2021/22 season, with the option for a permanent switch.
Saul showed 23 times for the blues and won the World Club World Championship during his time in West London.
However, he did not take a permanent step and returned to Atletico before the 2022/23 campaign.
During his entire stay in the Spanish capital, Saul Laliga and two titles have won in Europe League.
Saul was also a euro U19 winner at Spain in 2012 before he received 19 senior caps for his country.
