Transfer notebook: Isak makes Newcastle demand, Forest would rather Gibbs-White joins Tottenham rival, Chelsea’s stunning Jackson price tag

Alexander Isak wants £ 300,000 a week to sign a new contract with Newcastle, as Talksport understands.

Eddie Howe and the Toon owners are determined not to lose the sought-after striker this summer, but a deal of this size would smash the club’s wage structure.

Isak would be one of the best paid footballers in the Premier League if Newcastle would give him a deal with £ 300,000 a week-and he looked at Jack Grialish and Bruno Fernandes.

If the magpies manages to keep Isak this summer in the middle of strong interest of Liverpool and clubs in Saudi Arabia, they would be in a much more difficult situation next summer if he did not sign an extension in St. James’ Park.

Isak is under contract in Newcastle until June 2028 and has concluded a six-year contract with the Tyneside Outfit after coming out of Real Sociedad for £ 63 million in 2022.

Liverpool chose Newcastle in relation to the striker and notified the club that they are ready to overthrow with a big money if the toon should change its attitude “not for sale”.

The 25-year-old was not present for the recent friendly defeat of the Magpies against Celtic after he is supposed to return from Howe due to the ongoing speculation about his future from Howe.

Furious Forest would prefer City Deal

Evangelo’s Marinakis, the owner of Nottingham Forest, hopes that Manchester City will be classified with a competing offer to sign Star Morgan Gibbs-White.

At the end of last season, Gibbs-White told Marinakis that he would only leave the city for a certain club level.

The forest owner does not believe that Spurs fits into this category, hence his anger about his potential move to North -London.

Tottenham wanted to sign Gibbs-White after triggering his release clause of 60 million GBP, but Forest submitted a legal complaint about the blow, which means that the deal is initially switched off.

There is still a conviction that Tottenham could revive the transfer depending on the outcome of the legal challenge, but he has now returned to the forest material in the previous season.

Forest’s hope of Pep Guardiola’s team to join the race comes in their interest in the city’s English U21 star, James Mcateee.

Guardiola also brought midfielder Tijjani Reijnders [£46.3m] and Sverre Nypan [£12.5m] to the Etihad Stadium after the Club -ikon Kevin de Bruyne went to Napoli.

Chelsea’s ambitious Jackson price sign

Chelsea believes that Nicolas Jackson is worth more than the deal that Liverpool has approved for Hugo Ekitens if the striker Stamford Bridge was to leave this summer.

The Reds have agreed a package with a total of 79 million GBP for the Eintracht Frankfurt -hitman -£ 69 million in advance and £ 10 million in add -ons.

In response to this, Talksport understands that Chelsea has set a price of at least 70 million GBP and £ 10 million in add-ons for Jackson, who is a goal for Manchester United and Aston Villa.

The blues believe that Jackson is worth more than Ekitic in the face of his Premier League layer.

It was believed that Leeds is a top candidate for the striker, but he could have another route available to stay in the Premier League if West Ham should be interested.
