Cole Palmer took a well -deserved break.
But instead of going to a beach resort, the aspiring star made a trip that meant much more: his very first visit to St. Kitts, the Caribbean island, where his grandfather was born on his father’s side.
The trip, Documented by BBC SportWas a powerful personal moment for the English international, who proudly bears the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis on his boots. He visited the old home of his grandfather with the family and called it a “special” experience.
But it wasn’t just a trip into the past. Palmer threw himself into the island life – played football with local children, signed shirts, posed young and old for photos and charming fans. An eager youth asked the now viral question: “Do you like Chippy chips?” – An allusion to Palmer’s iconic comment on his love for Chip Shop Fries.
Palmer also met the St. Kitts Prime Minister Terrance Drew, who praised the pride of the midfielder in his inheritance: “Cole Palmer really represented his roots. Wearing the flag of St. Kitts and Nevis in his boots – it is really a proud moment for all of us.”

The love of the locals was just as much heart.
“The best footballer in the world,” said a young fan, while another added: “The foot better than Messi. Say the truth and has to return to the bench.”
To round off the whole thing, Palmer hit the water on a jet ski and flinely flinely flinely when he raced over the Caribbean sea – relaxed, at home and enjoyed every second.
“It was nice to see all little children and all other people,” said Palmer in his classic, reserved style.
A short vacation after the season with a heart, heir and exactly the right hint of flair like Cole Palmer itself.
