Pep Guardiola switched his style – and the fans of Manchester City love the new energy of Ted Lasso.
When the city is preparing for a short pre-season, Guardiola was discovered to visit the Barcelona Monarka Clinic, which is known for the latest recovery treatments. But it was not the clinic that all noticed in the eye-Peps was a new, clean face face, which only put his signature beard for a mustache.
The fresh look immediately solved comparisons with Jason Sudeikis’ loved fictional coach from “Ted Lasso” from Apple TV – a show that once appeared in the side.
A City fan joked: “Pep Guardiola has now inspired a mustache from Ted Lasso when he wants to turn around after the catastrophic Manchester City last season.”
Another interfered and quoted Lasso’s legendary line: “I think” and perfectly captures the hope behind Peps courageous new style and fresh start.
Guardiolas Cameo on “Ted Lasso” came in the penultimate episode of season 3.
In a warm moment after a game between the fictional AFC Richmond and City, Guardiola told Sudeikis’ title coach:
Lasso replied: “I could no longer agree, coach.”

When Pep came up with his guest place, he said: “As a family, my little daughter Valentina and my wife liked to look at the show a lot. We are big fans, and when she offered me a cameo, I thought, why not? It was great to meet the actors.”
With a fresh stamp and a lot of optimism, PEP is ready to bring the same spirit to the next chapter of the city.
