Spurs boss Thomas Frank described it as a “bad injury” and confirmed that it was the same knee that Maddison failed towards the end of last season.
Maddison looks at a long absence, and so the Europa League Champions could immerse themselves in the market for a new option.
The Nottingham Forest star Morgan Gibbs-White has revealed the Alex Crook from Talksport three potential alternatives to explore Spurs.

Talk sport reported in June that Grialish accepted his career in Manchester City.

They also completed the loan with Joao Palhinha on Sunday from Bayern Munich.
