The 25-year-old Englishman played the full 90 minutes on Friday evening during the 1-1 draw in Birmingham.
During the 2024/25 campaign, he showed 33 times in the Premier League when the tractor boys attributed an immediate descent to the championship.
Ipswich faces a separate fight to keep the England winger Omari Hutchinson in England, who also sparked interest from the forest.
According to reports, the club refused an offer of £ 35 from the red at the beginning of this week.
Hutchinson missed the championship start due to a medical problem, and manager Kieran McKenna admitted that the 21-year-old has potential applicants. Brentford was also interested.
McKenna spoke before the Birmingham game: “He [Hutchinson] Was interested in various clubs, but there is nothing really updating.
“The club has real goals this season and everyone who is currently an Ipswich player has to be completely ready to contribute and be ready to have a successful year.”
Who signed Nottingham Forest this summer?
So far, the tricky trees have been calm in the transfer window – with their most remarkable arrival Dan Dan Ndoye.
The national player of Switzerland was signed by Bologna in a deal worth £ 34 million.
The sale of striker Anthony Elanga in Newcastle follows.

Forest also signed striker Igor Jesus and central defender Jair Cunha from the Brazilian pages of Botafogo for £ 27.
In the meantime, goalkeeper Angus Gunn recently joined a free transfer after leaving Norwich.
The most important thing, however, is that Forest agreed with a new deal with star midfielder Morgan Gibbs-White in early this summer.
The 25-year-old seemed to join Tottenham after the North London Club tried to trigger his release clause of £ 60 million.
However, the forest owner Evangelos Marinakis publicly blocked the move and persuaded Gibbs-White to make him the highest paid player in the history of the club.
Talksport understands that the new contract for the English star of £ 150,000 a week does not contain any release clause, which may keep it on the town square in the long run.
