Guehi is in the last year of his contract in Crystal Palace, where he won the FA Cup last season.

He also made 34 Premier League appearances for Oliver Glasner’s team last season.

Would Palace Guehi sell?

The chairman of the palace, Steve Parish, has admitted that the association could be forced to sell Guehi reluctantly this month so as not to lose it for free next summer.

When asked about the prospect of selling the 25-year-old after her community Shield had triumphed about ESPN via Liverpool, he said: “Yes. I mean, of course.

“So that players of this caliber can be free, it’s a problem. Unfortunately.

“We had a bid [last summer] But Joachim [Andersen] went [to Fulham] And we couldn’t afford to lose both.

“We then had another offer in January, but that was also a difficult situation, and the player had a point of view on this point.

“So we just have to see what happens, but it takes a new contract or a conclusion.”

Chelsea has already spent over £ 240 million for eight new signings this summer.
