However, the city is not interested in the sale and would request £ 50 million north.
Spurs are on the market to get another attack option after James Maddison had suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.
While Savinho rarely plays in the attack on the midfield and is more than right -hand gasol, he will offer the squad the urgently needed depth.
If Spurs had completed a deal, Tottenham fans Savinho would like more Lucas Moura than Gilberto da Silva Melo.
The latter was unable to impress in North London during his short spell in the 2008/09 season in North London.
Gilberto arrived with a good family of family after being included in the Brazil’s 2006 World Cup squad and even achieved in her victory over Japan.
In January 2008, Spurs sanctioned a Treaty of 1.9 million GBP for the 31-year-old at six months that were left in his contract with Hertha Berlin.
Gilberto wrote history in his debut by becoming Tottenham’s first Brazilian who appeared for the senior page.
Unfortunately for the left -back, who could also play in midfield, his initial flight in his nightmare meant that he soon made different headlines.
He to blame for Jefferson Farfan’s winner in her defeat against PSV Eindhoven and was also booked and enthusiastic at half -time.

What does Gilberto’s record have at Spurs?
In three of his first six starts for the LilyWhites, managers Ramos and his successor Harry Redknapp sat down at half -time.
Ultimately, he only made ten appearances for Spurs and scored a goal before his contract was terminated in 2009 by mutual approval.
The consensus about his time in the club was no better summarized than a heading with the inscription “Brazil finally produces garbage ballers”.
Gilberto himself at least conjured up a smile when he was confronted with this heading while he apologized in an interview with Spurs fans.
“It is true, I had a nightmare at Spurs. But I had done it well in Germany. I played for my country and won things in Brazil,” Gilberto told ESPN.

“Tottenham came in and I saw as a chance to have a real gap on a cutlery.
“I remember my debut against PSV. I tried to dribble past Jefferson Farfan. He stole and scored the ball from me.
“Although I was a Brazil international, it was difficult for me to relax and I felt that it was my fault that we lost 1-0.
“I recorded a calf injury and was interrupted at half -time.
“We went out of the competition after the second leg and I felt personally responsible.

“From that moment everything was downhill. I tried my best during training and hoped that things would turn around. I liked London and life there, but my self -confidence was shot.
“Then Juande Ramos got the boot. Harry Redknapp came in and he put me in the B team at the age of 32. That was embarrassing and played with the U20s in empty stadiums. It was a difficult time.”
“I would like to excuse the Tottenham fans with all my heart. I am disappointed that it didn’t work,” added Gilberto.
“I would have loved it, but I was branded very quickly.
“There were some great people in the club, but it was a bad time for me personally.”

In a talk sports survey in 2017, the supporters of Spurs agreed for the worst winter signing of the club ever.
“In a way, it is nice to be remembered, and I also have half of what you said,” he joked.
“But footballers have to get used to such things. I talked about Instagram about it because I wanted to show how difficult it can be.”
