Wantaway Premier League star made ‘own goal threat’ and forced club to release statement

Footballers often use extreme lengths to force a change from their club.

We have seen this many times this summer with Alexander Isak and Yoane Wissa.

Isak published an explanation for bombs on Tuesday evening in which he was beaten in Newcastle, and said promises were broken and repeated his wish to be sold.

The magpies themselves left and refuted this claim that he said that he could go and continue to say that he was not for sale.

Liverpool has already rejected a bid of 110 million GBP.

Wissa also tries to force Brentford to join Newcastle and demolished tools.

He has deleted all bees’ mentions on his Instagram account when things become chaotic.

This is not quite as dramatic as what William Gallas supposedly done in Chelsea to leave the club.

Gallas made a Deadline day to Arsenal and let some fans confuse why he was sold.

The blues sensationally published an explanatory days after this transfer in 2006, in which they claimed to score Gallas to score his own goal when he was selected.

“Chelsea is of the opinion that it is important for our supporters to draw attention to the full facts in terms of William Gallas and the lack of respect, which he showed the fans, the manager and the club,” read an explanation on the club’s official website.

“Although he went, he continues to attack Jose Mourinho and this cannot remain unchallenged.

“Chelsea made William Gallas a very extensive and attractive new contract offer to stay towards the end of last season. This was rejected.

“The problem was just a money, despite his public comments, that he wanted a new challenge to play abroad and so on. This was just a fog wall to cover up the fact that he hopped the highest bidder.

“After not securing his demands, his position became increasingly adamant and unacped.

“He initially refused to play Liverpool against Liverpool in the semi -finals of the FA Cup last season in order to force an increased contract offer.

“As is now well documented, he refused to work with the team in Los Angeles during the previous season, even though he agreed with the club for his return like the other World Cup players.

“When Jose Mourinho generously offered a way back to the” family “after the American Tour, this was thrown back into the face of the Chelsea manager.

“The manager told him that even if he did not agree to a new contract, but returned to the” family “and declined the rules, the best available players would still choose and would not punish him.

“Despite the meetings to try to solve the problems, Gallas Jose Mourinho made it clear that he would never play for Chelsea again.

“Before the first game of the season against Manchester City, when only four defenders were available and John Terry was doubtful with an injury, he refused to play.

“He continued to threaten that he could score his own goal or send himself or make deliberate mistakes if he was forced to play, or if he was disciplined and financially punished to violate the rules.

“This was clearly a completely unacceptable situation for the manager, the team and the club. So a collective on Chelsea’s interests had to be found, so it departed.”

Gallas’ strong reaction

However, Gallas refuted these claims in his own statement when the word war between the two parties was still played in public.

“I’m surprised and shocked [by what Chelsea have said]Gallas said present.

“I certainly never said that I would try to score my own goal when I ever played for Chelsea again. I was very firm to go – that is clear – and I have already explained why. But I never went that far.

“If people want to hide behind these ridiculous accusations to explain why I went to stay with the supporters of their club, then they do. I don’t think it will be wrong.”

More than a decade later, he continued to refute this claim that he had ever threatened to score his own goal.

In an interview with FOURFOURTWO, he said: “I never said that I would achieve my own goal. How can you say that?

“Perhaps the people in the club tried to find a way at that time, to blame me for what happened because all supporters wanted me to stay.

“When I play football, I play with my heart. I always played at 100 percent.”

He also cited a misunderstanding between him and Jose Mourinho and also the fact that they took his shirt number 13 from him to give Michael Ballack.

Gallas won two trophies of the Premier League in Chelsea before moving to Arsenal to London rival.

He spent four seasons with the Gunners and made 142 appearances before taking the rare step over the North London gap to Tottenham.

The defender made 78 appearances in three campaigns for Spurs before ending his career with Perth Glory in the A-League.
