Jamie Carragher goes wild in Sky Sports studio celebrating Rio Ngumoha’s goal


Liverpool and Newcastle United played a Premier League thriller on Monday evening, with the Reds achieving a 3-2 victory with the kind permission of a 100th-minute winner of the youthful debutant Rio Ngumoha.

The dramatic strike of the 16-year-old castle a chaotic evening in St. James’ Park, on which Newcastle had withdrawn from two goals before Ngumoha stole the headlines with a fairytale finish.

And while the end of the away broke out, a man who enjoyed it was the same, the former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.

Carragher later put the clip after X and simply added: “What a game.”

“I think what we saw this evening is probably one of the worst achievements of a winning team and one of the best from the lost team,” he said. “Liverpool is not taking care of it at the moment, they will be absolutely enthusiastic, but Eddie Howe’s men were absolutely excellent tonight.”

For Ngumoha, however, it was a night that will live in memory for a long time – and if his debut is doing something, Liverpool fans might only have the arrival of her next star.
