Newcastle United refusing to give up on signing Jorgen Strand Larsen or Yoane Wissa despite rejected bids

Newcastle United has not given up hope of signing either Jorgen Strand Larsen or Yoane Wissa before the end of the transfer window, Talksport understands.

The Magpies will confirm the signing of Nick Woltemade from Stuttgart in a club record deal for £ 69 million, but they want another striker.

Woltemades change to Tyneside is to be confirmed after the striker flew to Newcastle.

If he completes a medicine, the striker is expected to put a six -year contract on paper and is ready to take the shirt number 27.

After Callum Wilson’s departure to West Ham United, the Toon still need a striker who continues to lean Alexander Isak.

Beach Larsen and Wissa were the subject of several bids from Newcastle and are not yet finished.

On the Larsen beach, the magpies initially offered £ 50 million, which was quickly rejected.

Then they increased the bid to £ 55 million, and that was also rejected, although talk sport understood that wolves do not intend to sell the Norwegian in this transfer window.

The striker informed his club about his wish to change St. James’ Park, but apart from a dramatic change, he will remain.

The Wissa situation is similar to Beach Larsen.

Newcastle initially offered £ 35 million before increasing its offer to 40 million GBP, but the bees both rejected.

Brentford signed Dango Ouattara in a deal worth 42.5 million GBP, but you see him as a replacement of Bryan Mbumo.

The bees saw an offer of £ 45 million for Borussia Dortmund’s Maximilian Beier.

It is not expected to return with a different offer, so Wissa could stay in West -London.

Keith Andrews certainly expects Wissa to stay.

At his press conference before the game, he said: “Nothing has changed in terms of my attitude and I don’t see any movement.

“I always say about the level of respect I have for Yoane and the relationship I had to him.

“Obviously it was difficult for obvious reasons, I don’t think this is revolutionary when it comes to saying that.

“I still have the feeling (he will stay). The football club generally wants to stick to Yoane and back to the type he is, the person he is, I certainly don’t want to lose yoane.”

What does it mean for Isak?

Well, Newcastle needs a second striker if you are supposed to sell Isak.

The striker did not play a minute before the season for Newcastle and was also not involved in the first games of the Premier League.

The chairman of the Toon, Yasir al-Rumayyan, led after the 2-3 defeat against Liverpool, in which he repeated his wish to leave the club this summer with Isak on Tyneside.

This prompted Newcastle to move quickly for Woltemade, but if a second striker does not arrive, it is difficult to see how Isak works.

Liverpool made an offer of £ 110 million for the rejected striker.

The reds have to return with another offer, and Talksport understands that they will not return if Newcastle is not encouraged.

This encouragement will probably come if the Toon can make another striker join in.

In the meantime, Eddie Howe has denied that he could leave Isak this summer.

He said: “I don’t make a promise to players in relation to transfers because I ultimately don’t have control over the whole. So no, I never make a promise to a player.

“But of course, as I said so often with talks with Alex, I will not reveal the dialogue because I don’t think it’s healthy.”

And in the Isak situation, Howe said: “I have no update of what I talked about the other day. I concentrate on bringing players to the club.

“I have been with the Alex situation for a long time because it would be harmful for me to invest more time in this situation if I have 25, 30 players who need every ounce of energy and time, and the team has to concentrate on achieving results.

“Other people, as I said, have to do with this situation. For me, I can concentrate on the players who play and that can affect our results.”
