Everton presented its new third kit for the 2025/26 season – and it has already split an opinion for a very unusual reason.
The kit designed by Castore reinterpreted the waves of the Mersey river in a strong, colorful design, which is inspired by the local graphic artist Neil Keating.
The black shirt with a crew neck collar contains an abstract blue-yellow pattern throughout the body, which imitates the river of the river on Everton’s new stadium. The look is completed with black shorts and matching socks with blue-yellow stripes on the folding strip.
But the real topic of conversation is what is missing.
The third kit does not have a traditional club comb. Instead, the shirt carries a simple white pentagon on the chest and symbolizes Prince Rupert’s Tower-Das Historical village closure, which has long been a badge of Everton’s badge.
While some supporters praised the design as brave and forward to think, others did the lack of coat of arms and said that it was roaming part of the club’s identity.
Regardless of the debate you fall, one thing is certain: If Everton puts on the pitch in this kit, you will be difficult to overlook.
Whether it becomes a cult classic or an unforgettable experiment probably depends on the results that come when wearing. After all, nothing looks better than winning a shirt.
