A true legend of the game, only the name of the Manchester United Hero, would be enough to persuade the players to join his project.
While some managers whisked potential signs abroad or invite them to their luxury houses or show them their team facilities, others are easier.
Regardless of whether this would just talk about the phone or meet for dinner, each manager has his own method.
And for Rooney, he announced that he once planned a meeting that takes place in a water park during his vacation in the United Arab Emirates.
What did Wayne Rooney say about his water park tactics?
In the Wayne Rooney Show, the winner of the Champions League 2008 was asked which tactic he tried to convince the players to join.
And a story immediately appeared in Rooney’s thoughts when he spent time to monitor the Rams.
He said, “I met a player at the Atlantic Water Park in Dubai [Aquaventure World]. “
Laughing co-moderator Kelly Somers urged Rooney as to whether he hit the footballer in question at the head of the block flower.
Whereupon the England icon replied: “No, I had a meeting with him to try to sign him for derby.”
Rooney asked how and why they decided in this specific location and explained: “He was in Dubai, so I said:” I will meet you there. “

“So we got to know each other there and I actually had a skin -fachted wet top where I was on the slides.
“Because if I don’t have a top, I will only burn.
“So it is like one of them swimming like a man on a surfboard or something on the front.
“It stopped me and I just thought: ‘What do I do?'”
Rooney then joked: “It also stayed on my stomach and I tried to pull it out.”
But the all -orthodox meeting of the event location has managed the all -important question to seal the deal?
It didn’t.
Rooney then explained that he often met players in Dubai in the off -season.
He noticed: “I met a few players in Dubai because many players go to Dubai, so it’s actually easy to meet the players out there.”
Somers remained at a loss as to why all places in Dubai were on site, why Rooney thought that a water park was an ideal goal.
He said to him: “I don’t really know, I called him and he was actually in the water park I went to, so I just said: ‘I’ll meet you there.'”
