Fermin Lopez broke his silence about Chelsea’s transfer interest on him this summer.
The blues started a late offer to sign the Spanish international in the last days of the transfer window.

Lopez has now revealed that his priority, despite Chelsea’s interest, always stayed with Barca.
As a 12-year-old, the midfielder joined the club’s famous La Massia Academy before going to the first team.
He explained his decision to reject the blues and said to Mundo Deportivo: “In the end, in the end my priority was always in Barça. I arrived at the age of 12. It was my dream to be here to reach the first team.

Lopez signed a new five -year contract with Barca in October 2024 before winning a league and Copa del Rey Double last season.
He also revealed that some of his teammates had convinced him not to stay in the club after he asked him.

The playmaker added: “I had a few conversations with some of them.
“But the entire team supported this week very much, and everyone also wanted me to stay. The support from the changing room is appreciated.”
