Wolves have reportedly attempted to re-sign Conor Coady following the arrival of Rob Edwards.
The 32-year-old defender was identified as a potential January signing.

Edwards was confirmed as the Premier League team’s new coach on Wednesday.
He returns to Molineux after previous positions as a player, coach and caretaker.
The 42-year-old has signed a three-and-a-half-year contract with the club until the summer of 2029.
It is nine years since he was interim coach overseeing a 1-1 draw at Blackburn, with Coady playing the full 90 minutes.
Con artists
According to The Telegraph, Wolves are now interested in bringing the defender back to the club.
However, a return following his move to Wrexham in the summer is currently considered unlikely.
Coady joined the newly promoted Championship team in August on a two-year contract.
Since then he has played five league games, the last of which came in September.
The report adds that funds will be made available to Edwards when the transfer window reopens.
Wolves’ position in the league and the likelihood of them avoiding relegation will be crucial to the quality of players they sign.

Edwards takes over a team that is currently winless at the bottom of the Premier League table after eleven games.
The defeat against Chelsea on Saturday leaves them eight points ahead after two draws and nine defeats.
Wolves host Crystal Palace in their next league game on November 22nd after the international break.
Coady at Wolves
Coady previously worked for the club for eight years between 2015 and 2023.
During this time he made 317 appearances for Wolves across all competitions.
He was later appointed captain and helped the club gain promotion to the top flight as champions in 2018.

The central defender won ten caps for England and was part of the Three Lions squad for Euro 2020 and the 2022 World Cup.
After a year-long loan spell at Everton in the 2022/23 season, Coady was sold to Leicester at the end of the season before moving to Wrexham three months ago.
