According to The Pitch Prospect, Antoine Semenyo is in favor of staying in the Premier League if he leaves Bournemouth.
Semenyo has a £65m release clause, which is active at the start of the January transfer window. It consists of a guaranteed transfer fee of 60 million pounds and a further 5 million pounds as a surcharge.

The clause was a deal-breaker when Semenyo signed a new contract in the summer and it means a mid-season exit is out of Bournemouth’s control.
The Pitch Prospect understands Semenyo would not have extended without the opportunity to leave in the next two windows.
Semenyo has scored six goals and contributed three assists in the Premier League this season and Bournemouth sources believe they could lose the Ghana international this winter, although they hope he stays until at least the summer.
The 25-year-old also has a reduced release clause for the summer, reportedly still at over £50million.
MORE ABOUT THE PREMIER LEAGUE
Semenyo is happy at Bournemouth but is still not ruling out a mid-season exit.
The Pitch Prospect understands he prefers to stay in England despite interest from several European suitors including Serie A club AC Milan.
Liverpool are keenly interested in Semenyo and are still looking for another attacker, despite adding Alexander Isak, Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz in the summer.
With Mohamed Salah heading to the Africa Cup of Nations in December and Luis Diaz reluctantly sold to Bayern Munich, Liverpool are placing great emphasis on finding a new winger in 2026.
Their sporting director Richard Hughes, who was instrumental in bringing Semenyo to the south coast, has an excellent relationship with his former club Bournemouth and has already brought former Cherry defender Milos Kerkez to Anfield.
Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United are also interested in Semenyo, and both clubs made an approach in the summer, but the 25-year-old opted to sign new deals with Bournemouth instead.

Manchester City and Arsenal are two other clubs eyeing the possibility of signing Semenyo, meaning potentially five of the Premier League’s so-called ‘big six’ could be vying for his signature.
Chelsea are the only club unlikely to enter the race. The Blues feel well-stocked with wingers after signing Estevao Willian, Alejandro Garnacho and Jamie Gittens in the summer.
Geovanny Quenda from Sporting Lisbon will arrive in the summer of 2026, while Pedro Neto, Tyrique George and the currently suspended Mykhailo Mudryk are also at the club.
Liverpool are currently considered the first candidate to sign Semenyo, but sources close to the player believe it will be an open race and the release clause is set for a January or summer transfer at an excellent price.
And the finances of a mid-season move for Semenyo will not be a problem for Arne Slot’s side, despite spending around £450m over the summer, including more than £100m on Wirtz and Isak.
Liverpool only spent around £10m in the summer of 2024, with Federico Chiesa’s arrival from Juventus being their key signing in that window. Giorgio Mamadashvili was also due to arrive in the summer of 2025 and cost around £25m.

Liverpool’s net spend in the summer was actually over £30m less than Arsenal’s.
They are not under PSR pressure and The Pitch Prospect understands that Fenway Sports Group is ready to further strengthen the squad in 2026. A winger and a centre-back are two of the top priorities in the next two windows.
United and Spurs are also poised to make mid-season additions.
United are more aware of their PSR position than Liverpool, but that doesn’t mean January additions are out of the question. United will have to decide whether Bryan Mbeumo’s arrival means they are less involved in Semenyo’s selection.
The former, like Amad Diallo, will move to the AFCON and may convince United to sign another winger should the right target be available.

Spurs are expected to support Thomas Frank with another attacker and possibly even add a winger who can also play ten and a new number nine.
Mohammed Kudus already occupies the right winger spot, but Semenyo, similar to City’s Savinho in the summer, is a left wing option.
At the top, Ivan Toney has been linked with a reunion with coach Thomas Frank, but it is not a given that Al Ahli will approve a mid-season sale.
The Saudi Arabian club’s new sporting director, Ruis Pedro Braz, would prefer the England striker to stay in Jeddah, potentially making a January exit difficult.
City and Arsenal are in the market for wingers and the appeal of Semenyo is that he can play on either flank.
City are interested in Semenyo because of his goal-scoring qualities, which wingers like Jeremy Doku and Savinho have yet to emulate.

Arsenal, meanwhile, could be in the market for a left winger in 2026, particularly if Gabriel Martinelli or Leandro Trossard depart.
However, the Gunners are excited about the signing of Noni Madueke, who can play on either flank and although Eberechi Eze was signed as a number 10, he can also play as a winger.
