Pascal Gross is set for a surprise return to Brighton & Hove Albion.
The Seagulls have agreed a £1.3million deal with Borussia Dortmund to re-sign the midfielder.

The 34-year-old spent a season and a half in Germany but saw his playing time dwindle.
This season he has played just 732 minutes in 16 appearances and recorded two assists.
Compared to last season, in which he was almost always present in the Dortmund team and regularly played the entire 90 minutes.
He also scored ten goals for his teammates last season, including four in a 6-0 win against Union Berlin.
Jobe Bellingham’s arrival at the Westfalenstadion is one of the reasons for his limited role.
Subject to medical and international clearance, Gross will return to Amex Stadium as a club legend.
He signed with them as a relatively unknown player, joining from FC Ingolstadt 04 in 2017 as they began their journey to the Premier League.
The £3 million they spent will go down as one of the best relative signings in top flight history.
Over a seven-year period, Gross played in a variety of positions, including fullback.
In his Premier League debut season, he was nominated for the Premier League Player of the Month award and scored a winning goal against Manchester United to ensure their safety.

An experienced set-piece taker, his career at Brighton was an immediate success.
He left the club after 261 games with 32 goals and 53 assists, setting a Premier League record.
Until Danny Welbeck overtook him in April 2025 when he scored the equalizer against rivals Crystal Palace.
His form was so impressive that he was eventually called up to the German national team.
He has since played 16 times for his country, scoring one goal, but his last game came in September 2025.
Gross was missing from the final two squads with the 2026 World Cup just around the corner.
