According to The Pitch Prospect, Fulham have made a £28million bid for PSV striker Ricardo Pepi.
However, the offer falls short of the 23-year-old’s Dutch valuation of £30m.

Talks between the two clubs are still ongoing as the Cottagers look to sign the US international.
Pepi has scored 11 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions this season.
Those appearances include a 20-minute cameo against Liverpool in the Champions League in November.
PSV claimed a 4-1 win at Anfield, ending a five-game winning streak against English opponents.
Fulham’s push to sign Pepi comes despite his ongoing injury layoff.
The striker missed PSV’s last four games due to a broken forearm, including the midweek defeat to Newcastle.
Meanwhile, Pepi signed a new contract with the Eredivisie champions in February last year, which runs until the summer of 2030.
Last season’s title win was his second with the club since moving from Augsburg three years ago.
Pepi could also play a starring role for the USA at this summer’s World Cup on home soil.
Since making his international debut at the age of 18, Pepi has scored 13 goals in 34 international appearances for the Stars and Stripes.

Fulham transfer at the latest
As for Fulham, Marco Silva has yet to make a signing in the January transfer window.
However, Adama Traore is set to leave Craven Cottage this month.
Silva confirmed to The Pitch Prospect’s Alex Crook on Saturday that the winger will leave before the window closes.
West Ham have shown interest in signing Traore to boost their Premier League survival chances.
The Cottagers, meanwhile, are in seventh place after coming from behind to beat Brighton.
Harry Wilson’s stoppage-time winner secured all three points for the home team.

Fulham are now just two points off the top four as they set their sights on European football next season.
The club has not qualified for continental competition since the 2011/12 Europa League season.
