Former Manchester United defender Brandon Williams has left Hull City just six months into his one-year contract.
Williams returned last summer after a year away from football, signing for Hull in the hope of revitalizing his career on the pitch.

However, things didn’t work out with the Championship team as he only played five minutes for the Tigers.
He got these minutes in August when he made a cameo appearance as a substitute at the end of the 3-0 home defeat to Blackburn Rovers.
After that, he was only in a matchday squad four times; his last appearance in a squad took place on November 25th.
The Pitch Prospect understands Hull have paid back the remainder of his contract to allow him to leave after six months as he has struggled with injuries and “previous issues”.
The news was confirmed in a statement on Tuesday, which said: “Hull City can confirm that full-back Brandon Williams has left the club by mutual consent.”
“The 25-year-old has made just one first-team appearance since joining the Tigers last August, coming on as a substitute in the Sky Bet Championship home defeat to Blackburn Rovers later that month.”
“We would like to thank Brandon for his commitment during his time at MKM Stadium and wish him all the best for his future career.”
The former Man United left-back will now be a free agent and will be looking for the next step in his journey.
He previously spent time on loan at Norwich and Ipswich before moving to Hull last summer.
In total, Williams spent 16 years as a United player before his departure in 2024, with his career marred by off-field issues.

Williams’ previous editions
Williams was given a 14-month suspended sentence last year for a car accident in 2023.
He collided with a Ford Fiesta on the A34 and a court found he was traveling at 100mph in a 70mph zone.
The incident saw his Audi A3 crash into the rear of the Fiesta and then crash into a median, injuring the driver and passengers in the other vehicle, which was immobilized.
Williams was eventually sentenced to 14 months in prison after pleading guilty to dangerous driving and driving without insurance.
He is currently banned from driving for three years and his prison sentence is suspended for two years.
The Carrington graduate has since spoken out about his struggles, admitting he was previously “no longer interested in football”.

“I don’t know if it’s enough”
Williams has officially left Hull after just six months, but there have already been rumors of an imminent departure before the New Year.
Tigers boss Sergej Jakirovic spoke about the defender’s progress at the club in December and hinted at terminating his contract.
Jakirovic admitted: “He played for the U21s and then we will decide together with the club in January what to do with him.”
“He will stay with us or fight for his place, so he will move on, maybe change clubs, but we will see.”
“That’s also a question for all clubs. He’s shown something right now in the U21 games, but I don’t know whether it’s enough for the championship.”
“That’s something I might have to decide on what we do with him…whether he stays or changes.”
