Inter Milan have been told that Tottenham goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario should be in the ‘front row’ when replacing Yann Sommer in the summer.
That is the opinion of Italy’s icon Walter Zenga, who also supported the Swiss international at San Siro.

The 37-year-old’s form has fluctuated this season and there were reports that manager Cristian Chivu was considering dropping him.
However, with his contract ending in the summer, there is still talk of Sommer’s future.
Serie A is a league highly regarded for its goalkeepers, with the Italian national team rarely without an elite option between the posts.
One of those giant glovemakers, Zenga, was asked about Sommer’s form but insists he has no major concerns.
“First of all, a premise: if we focus on a goalkeeper’s mistakes, we will never get over them. Yann is a high-performance player, a guarantee. He has experience and quality,” he told Gazzetta dello Sport.
Asked what he liked about the veteran, he added: “Self-control. Nothing can affect him.”
With Sommer’s future in doubt, there is talk of who will replace him at the San Siro.
And Zenga, who played 473 games for Internazionale, has given his opinion on who should come into play.
He replied: “With an Italian goalkeeper: Vicario and Marco Carnesecchi in the front row, then Elia Caprile.”
Vicario, a £17.2m signing, has been Tottenham’s No1 since club legend Hugo Lloris left the club in 2023.

After an incredibly strong start to life in north London, the Italian’s poor distribution and lack of physicality have caused him problems in England.
Meanwhile, he was sidelined for three months last season with a broken ankle.
Carnesecchi is Atalanta’s star goalkeeper and has secured first place in Bergamo for the last three seasons.
However, Caprile was once in the squad at Leeds United without making a single appearance and is now coming to the fore at Cagliari.
Since leaving Elland Road in 2022, he has played for Bari, Napoli and Empoli, as well as the Sardinian team.
All three goalkeepers Zenga has linked with Inter have a chance of being included in Italy’s squad for the World Cup qualifying play-offs against Northern Ireland on March 26.
