Woltemade is reportedly unhappy at Newcastle after just six months at the club.

The German striker arrived in the Premier League as a replacement for Alexander Isak, who moved to Liverpool.

It cost a whopping £69million to bring him to St James’ Park from Bundesliga side Stuttgart in August.

That remains a club record for Newcastle, but now it looks like Woltemade could be on the way out.

Since signing for Eddie Howe’s side, he has scored seven goals in 23 Premier League appearances.

And they all came before the new year, as the 24-year-old went seven league games without scoring in 2026.

However, last weekend he scored in the FA Cup to help Newcastle win a controversial clash against Aston Villa.

After starting the season as a regular, the return of Yoane Wissa and his lack of form led to fewer minutes of action.

Woltemade scored in all of his first three Premier League home games for the Magpies, putting him on par with the club’s legends.
