Club owner comments on potential Mohamed Salah transfer as race heats up to sign Liverpool hero


Mohamed Mansou, owner of San Diego FCHe has insisted he would be open to bringing Mohamed Salah to the club this summer.

However, he revealed that he will not be the only one who will decide whether the Egyptian moves from Liverpool to the MLS team.

The San Diego owner has confirmed he is interested in signing Salah this summer.

Salah will become a free agent at the end of the current Premier League season.

The 33-year-old confirmed on Tuesday he was leaving the Reds after nine trophy-filled years at Anfield.

Despite his contract not expiring until 2027, Liverpool have agreed to let Salah leave on a free transfer 12 months early.

MLS’ newest club, San Diego, has already thrown its hat into the ring for his signature.

Owner Mansour has confirmed he is interested in bringing Salah to Snapdragon Stadium.

However, the British-Egyptian billionaire has admitted that the transfer would depend on whether he suits their playing style.

Speaking to The Pitch Prospect’s Ben Jacobs, Mansour was asked if he would be interested in signing Salah, to which he replied: “I think every team around the world would be interested.”
