Blackburn Rovers have announced the signing of Nathan Redmond on a free transfer for the final seven games of the Championship season.
Redmond, who left Sheffield Wednesday in January, has signed an initial short-term deal at Ewood Park to star in the run-in.

The 32-year-old played just 132 minutes for the Owls at the start of this season, making just seven appearances and not making the starting eleven.
But after two months of searching for a new club, he joined a championship rival who is also at the bottom of the table.
Blackburn currently sit 19th in the second tier and are just four points above the relegation zone.
The appointment of Michael O’Neill helped increase their chances of survival and he has only lost three games in eight as manager so far.
O’Neill, whose World Cup hopes with Northern Ireland were dashed in his shared international role on Thursday night, now hopes Redmond can help his club side.
After his transfer was announced, the England international said: “I’m delighted to be here.”
“I am very happy about the opportunity and would like to fully immerse myself here so that I can understand what this club means to the people.”
“I’m also just looking forward to getting started, getting back into training and enjoying the joys of daily training. I’m looking forward to being included in some matchday teams.”
Redmond was added to Blackburn’s 25-man squad for the remainder of the season after places became vacant due to injuries.
He could make his debut on Friday April 3 when they take on former club Birmingham City in a crucial clash.
Redmond’s newest club
The experienced winger has 276 appearances in the Premier League and over 100 games in the Championship.
Therefore, he will certainly bring an incredible amount of experience to the Blackburn team in the final games of the season.
Redmond began his career at Birmingham in 2010 after spending several years in the club’s academy.
A move to Norwich City followed in 2013 and he spent three years at Carrow Road before moving to Southampton.
And with the Saints he earned his only cap for England, making 232 appearances, scoring 30 goals and assisting 27.
He left the club in 2022 and since then Redmond spent a year in Turkey with Besiktas before returning to England with Burnley and played 18 times for the Clarets until his contract expired last year.

Blackburn’s enema
Blackburn are in real danger of relegation to League One this season and are four points above the bottom three.
They are fighting alongside Leicester City, Oxford, Portsmouth and West Brom to stay in the championship.
And they face two of them in their last seven games.
Next up is Birmingham on Good Friday, then host West Brom on April 6th before traveling to Stoke on April 11th.
Three tough games follow, with Coventry City, Sheffield United and Southampton standing in the way.
On the final day of the season, Blackburn will face Leicester in what could prove to be the deciding factor in relegation.
