Newcastle considered the Manchester City academy graduate a top target, but The Pitch Prospect has learned that Chelsea are apparently willing to snap up his services.

And Blues fans already seem to be looking forward to his arrival, as they have found old posts on his X account in which he raves about his soon-to-be new club.

Eden Hazard has received a lot of praise from Adarabioyo, with his posts about the Belgian including fire emojis and a compliment in which he specifically said: “Hazard is a problem.”

His fans even loved his reaction when Hazard left City defender Pablo Zabaleta lying on the ground with a clever move: “I’m sorry, Zabaleta, but how is your groin at the moment? #Gap”

Chelsea’s hero of the 2012 Champions League final, Didier Drogba, was also praised after his decisive penalty. Adarabioyo said: “Drogba is an absolute bad man, I love him!”

Adarabioyo even found David Luiz’s antics against Manchester United after he was fouled by Rafael in 2013 funny, saying: “David Luiz is an evil person who laughs on the floor.”

When the posts resurfaced, Chelsea fans expressed their enthusiasm for the defender, with one of them saying on X: “He’s a real Chelsea fan.”

“Bring him in immediately!” pleaded a second.

A third added: “Okay, I’ve seen enough, take him home.”

“He knows his way around the ball, bring him to the bridge,” said a fourth, as Chelsea try to complete the deal on their latest signing.

Adarabioyo is likely to be the first new signing under Enzo Maresca, who will soon be introduced as the new head coach.

The Italian will sign a long-term contract and replace Mauricio Pochettino on the Chelsea bench from next season.
