Emmanuel Petit has urged Arsenal to sign Victor Osimhen this summer as he would be a “perfect fit” for the club.
The Gunners are preparing for the new Premier League season and are aware that they need to add crucial quality to their team if they are to catch Manchester City in the title race.

One area where Arsenal left something to be desired last season was the number of goals scored.
Although Mikel Arteta’s side scored 91 goals, they scored five fewer than defending champions Manchester City – which was crucial in winning the crown.
But when it comes to the question of where Arsenal can improve, Petit says he knows exactly the player who can solve their problems.
Speaking to White & Jordan, Petit said: “I would like to see a player like Osimhen as a striker.
“Someone who can keep defenders in check and thinks differently when it comes to attacking the spaces behind defenders and posing a big threat in set pieces. Also physically present, but someone who talks about football in the same way.”
“I’ve been watching him since he was at Lille before moving to Napoli and he would be a perfect fit at Arsenal.
“I don’t know if Arsenal will buy him, but the first thing they need is a striker.”
Despite an inconsistent season due to injuries and international matches, Osimhen scored 17 goals in 32 games for Napoli last season.

The year before, he had scored 31 goals in 39 games and helped Napoli to the Serie A title. The 25-year-old proved that he is one of the best strikers in the world.
But even though signing a striker is a must, Petit is convinced that Arsenal know exactly what they are doing in the transfer market.
Petit added: “You have to be very clever in the transfer market.
“They need to sign at least four players this summer, including a striker, if they want to compete even more strongly with Manchester City in the Premier League, but also in the Champions League games.
“I’m very confident about Arteta and Arsenal. I think they’re working very well in the transfer market – they’re doing everything they can to get the best team possible, so I have full confidence.
I fully support Arsenal because they have done very well over the last two or three years.”
