Eberechi Eze tips ‘incredible’ Michael Olise for successful link-up with Harry Kane and Jamal Musiala at Bayern Munich

Eberechi Eze is convinced that his Crystal Palace teammate Michael Olise has the talent and mentality to play at the highest level.

After another outstanding season at Selhurst Park, Olise is on the verge of a £60 million move to Bayern Munich.

The move would see him team up with England captain Harry Kane and German international Jamal Musiala in a revamped attack under recently appointed head coach Vincent Kompany.

Chelsea seemed to want to bring the French U21 international to West London, but the Bundesliga giant did not meet the conditions of Olise’s release clause.

After initially rejecting Chelsea, he signed a new contract with Palace last August with a weekly salary of £100,000 and it looks like the Blues will once again fail to get their man.

The Pitch Prospect assumes that the 22-year-old’s move to FC Bayern is a done deal and an announcement is imminent.

Eze, who is representing England at Euro 2024, was the star player alongside Olise last season, helping the Eagles to six wins in their last seven league games, including victories over Liverpool, Manchester United and Newcastle.

“He is an incredible player,” Eze told The Pitch Prospect exclusively.

“I’ve enjoyed playing with him for two or three seasons now. He’s a top player, a top talent with a top mentality.”

“He has everything it takes to get to the top and play football at the highest level.

“Whether he goes there or not [Bayern]he is an incredible player and has everything it takes.”

Olise’s talent is bearing fruit after a sustained run of form at Palace.

John Stones says Phil Foden is “a difficult opponent” for England manager Gareth Southgate and believes the Manchester City star loves to play “through the middle”.

Last season he scored ten goals in 19 Premier League games – the best goalscoring tally of his career.

Although Palace do not want to lose Olise, it was no surprise that a European giant approached them about one of their young guns.

The Eagles will miss his creativity if he finally moves to FC Bayern after he recorded six assists last season.

However, this will be music to the ears of Kane, who made his name in German football in style last season by scoring an incredible 36 goals in 32 Bundesliga games for arguably Bayern’s weakest team in a decade.

Kompany’s task is to reverse this trend next season by regaining the Bundesliga title for Bayer Leverkusen.
