As The Pitch Prospect has learned, Wolves will accept West Ham’s second offer for their club captain Max Kilman.
The Hammers have already rejected a £25 million offer for the 27-year-old defender.

The London club is obviously looking for new signings for the centre-back position after an initial offer for Jean-Clair Todibo from Nice was rejected.
The Pitch Prospect has learned that West Ham’s second offer for Kilman is £40 million, which is lower than Wolves’ original estimate of £45 million but has still proven to be enough to get the deal done.
West Ham will begin the new season under the management of Julen Lopetegui, who coached Kilman at Wolves.
He is also the man who made the English centre-back the club’s captain for the 2022/23 season and relied heavily on him as Wolves’ most-used player.
Kilman also played more often for the Wanderers than any other player last season.
The London-born star has made such an impression that he agreed to a new five-year contract last summer, meaning any transfer will not come cheap.
West Ham have already signed one player this summer: Luis Guilherme from Palmeiras, but the biggest change has been on the coaching bench.
David Moyes left the team after five seasons, having won the Europa Conference League in his second term at the London club.

Last season, West Ham reached the quarter-finals of the Europa League and finished ninth in the Premier League.
However, they have conceded 74 goals in the league, the fourth highest number in the division, and strengthening their defence is now a clear priority.
