The 31-year-old signs on a free transfer after agreeing to join the newly promoted Foxes.

Speaking to LCFC.com, De Cordova-Reid said: “Arriving here, looking around and seeing the infrastructure was a special moment. It has that wow factor. It feels good. I’m excited to be here and can’t wait to get started.”

“I had a good conversation with the manager, he explained the vision of the club to me. I spoke to him a few times and he was very clear about what he wanted and what he saw in me. He believes in me and it’s a perfect fit for me.”

This marks the end of De Cordova-Reid’s five-year spell in West London, which began with a successful loan in 2019.

Cooper will be happy to exploit his versatility as both a striker and a winger.

The Leicester head coach continues to work on strengthening his squad and expects to complete the signing of highly touted Chelsea starlet Michael Golding on Friday.

The 18-year-old joined Leicester in a separate deal after Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall joined Chelsea for £30 million.

Leicester are still trying to persuade Wilfried Ndidi to extend his stay at the King Power Stadium.

An independent commission rejected Leicester’s stance and prompted the club to appeal the ruling.
