Leicester may have inadvertently confirmed their new signing too early, but at least they saw the funny side.
To strengthen their defense, the Foxes have signed Caleb Okoli from Atalanta for five years.

The Italian spent last season on loan at Serie A team Frosinone and impressed despite his club’s relegation.
The 22-year-old is the third new signing of the summer after Bobby De-Cordova Reid joined on a free transfer and Michael Golding joined from Chelsea.
So you might think that Leicester have learned how to announce a new signing by now.
But before Okoli’s arrival was officially announced, a video of the player’s first interview with the Foxes appeared on the club’s YouTube channel.
It was quickly deleted, but had already been discovered by many attentive fans.
However, on social media they quickly made a joke out of the situation.
Following the transfer announcement on X, one user replied: “Took your time, guys.”
The official Leicester account jokingly said: “Sorry, I was watching something on YouTube.”

And the fans were delighted with the clever answer. One said: “The admin is stupid.”
Okoli was seen as a potential star for Leicester in a position where the team needed to strengthen the centre-back position.
The young player rose through the ranks at Atalanta before spending several seasons on loan at his parent club, making 17 appearances.
In addition to a year at Frosinone, Okoli was also loaned to the Italian clubs SPAL and Cremonense.
Following the arrival of the Italian U21 international, the Foxes are also keen to sign Abul Fatawu, who spent last season on loan at the King Power Stadium.
Leicester are expected to make the move permanent this summer, with the deal including an option to buy worth £14 million.
The 20-year-old helped the club return to the Premier League immediately after winning the championship, appearing in 43 games and scoring seven goals.
