Arsenal would consider loaning goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale if they cannot find a permanent buyer.
Ramsdale is keen to leave north London this summer after losing his No.1 status at the Emirates Stadium to David Raya, who won the Premier League Golden Glove last season.

The England international only signed a new contract last May, a few weeks before Raya’s arrival.
And his wages of well over £100,000 a week, coupled with Arsenal’s market valuation of £35 million, present a major hurdle for any potential suitor.
Former Bournemouth star Ramsdale was on Newcastle’s radar earlier this summer and has been heavily linked with newly promoted side Southampton, but The Pitch Prospect has learned that he is not currently close to joining a club.
Chelsea making money?
West Ham and Crystal Palace are among the clubs interested in signing Chelsea outsider Trevoh Chalobah.
As The Pitch Prospect exclusively revealed on Monday, Chalobah was not included in the Blues’ travelling party for their pre-season tour of America.
This is a pretty clear indication that Stamford Bridge officials are looking to sell their academy graduate, despite his impressive form at the end of last season.
West Ham are willing to sign Chalobah if they can get rid of one or both of Kurt Zouma and Nayef Aguerd.
Palace also have their eye on Chalobah amid doubts over the long-term future of England Euro 2024 star Marc Guehi.

Newcastle deal collapsed
Eddie Howe appears to have won his first power struggle with Newcastle’s new sporting director Paul Mitchell.
As The Pitch Prospect reported last week, a delegation from Newcastle held personal talks with Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo, despite Howe having no interest in signing the centre-back.
It seems Howe has gotten his way, with Newcastle unlikely to pursue their interest in West Ham and Juventus target Todibo.
Howe had agreed with former Toons director Amanda Staveley that he would have the final say on any transfer and it will be interesting to see if that remains the case after her departure from St James’ Park.
The Magpies boss remains at the top of the English Football Association’s shortlist to succeed Gareth Southgate as coach of the England national team.
Second chance
Everton are ready to offer Kalvin Phillips a way out of Manchester City.
The Toffees are looking for a new midfielder after selling Amadou Onana to Aston Villa for £50 million.

Sean Dyche is keen to sign Phillips, but the Merseysiders are likely to only be able to finance the former Leeds star on a loan deal.
Phillips has returned to City after enduring a miserable time on loan at West Ham in the second half of last season, which culminated in him losing his place in England’s Euro squad.
Fulham are also monitoring the 28-year-old as a possible replacement for Joao Palhinha, who left Craven Cottage to sign for Bayern Munich.
