Jude Bellingham is likely to be disappointed as Liverpool are confident that Trent Alexander-Arnold will sign a new contract.
Alexander-Arnold’s future at Liverpool has been widely discussed this summer, as his current contract expires next summer, meaning he could leave the club on a free transfer in less than 12 months.

Real Madrid were interested in his services and The Pitch Prospect had learned that Bellingham was particularly keen to reunite with the England international after the pair were close friends and were often inseparable in the national team.
However, The Pitch Prospect also understands that Liverpool are confident that Alexander-Arnold will sign a new contract at Anfield, putting an end to any speculation about a move away from the club.
The right-back has spent his entire career with the Reds after coming through the academy.
The 25-year-old has made 310 appearances for Liverpool’s first team, scoring 19 goals and providing an astonishing 81 assists.
This makes him one of the best right-backs in the world and Real Madrid is looking for a long-term successor to 32-year-old Dani Carvajal.
But they may have to look elsewhere as Alexander-Arnold appears set to spend his future at Liverpool and stay on Merseyside.
Liverpool have already seen a big change this season, with Jürgen Klopp being replaced by Arne Slot.
The Dutch coach was personally selected as the successor to the charismatic coach because of his attacking style and forward dynamic.

However, he had to deal with three key players who were considered for a move: Alexander-Arnold, Virgil van Dijk and Mohamed Salah.
Van Dijk and Salah’s contracts also expire next year and they could leave on free transfers if they do not renew their contracts.
Both players, especially Salah, have been linked with a move to Saudi Arabia, but Alexander-Arnold is said to have already spoken to Slot about what the future holds.
He already held the role of vice-captain of the club following the departure of Jordan Henderson last summer and could be promoted to that position depending on Van Dijk’s situation.
Liverpool are in action on Saturday night when they face Real Betis in a friendly, but neither Alexander-Arnold nor Van Dijk will be involved, having been given a long break after Euro 2024.
They start their Premier League season on August 17 against newcomers Ipswich Town, live on The Pitch Prospect.
