De Ligt is getting closer to a move to Man United.

De Ligt still has to undergo a medical before the transfer becomes official, but will sign a five-year contract with the option of a further year.

The Dutch central defender previously played under Erik ten Hag at Ajax before moving to Juventus and then to Bayern.

United have already signed Leny Yoro from Lille for around £52 million, but he will miss the start of the season due to injury.

Next on Man United’s list is Bayern full-back Noussair Mazraoui, although this depends on the departure of Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

The Red Devils have agreed a transfer fee of £15 million with West Ham, but negotiations between Wan-Bissaka and United over the transfer fee are still ongoing.

He will probably undergo a medical examination at the London club on Sunday or Monday.
