If Ivan Toney signs for Al Ahli, he will receive a staggering salary – but he will be far from the top earner in the Saudi Pro League.
Since football superstar Cristiano Ronaldo’s spectacular move to Al Nassr after his dramatic departure from Manchester United, other well-known players have followed his example.

The Saudi Arabian top league has smaller audience numbers and does not have the deep-rooted history of the Premier League and other European top leagues.
But players are still attracted by the unimaginably high salaries and many of them sign contracts that will change their lives and ensure incredible wealth for the star and his family for years to come.
Now, English striker Toney is expected to head to the Middle East from Brentford along with Karim Benzema, Neymar and other big names.
As The Pitch Prospect revealed on Friday, an offer from Al Ahli for the Bees of around £35 million including additional services has already been rejected.
And Toney was left out of Thomas Frank’s squad for the opening day win over Crystal Palace.
“There’s a lot going on with Ivan,” said the Bees manager. “There’s a lot of interest in transfers, especially.”
“For all these reasons, we have decided not to include him in the squad. I can’t give too much away.
“Of course Ivan is a top player, he was fantastic for us for four years, but we showed last season that we can manage without him.
“Is it his last game? Who knows. There is interest, it’s not close.”
According to Sportrac, Toney earns £21,000 a week on his current contract at Brentford, which expires next June.

The Pitch Prospect has learned that Al-Ahli are considering making a better offer for him, with the Bees still demanding £50million.
So if Toney does indeed sign for the Saudi team, how much will he earn? And how does his salary compare to the other big names playing there?
15 players in the Saudi league currently earn over £10 million a year.
The Pitch Prospect reported that Toney wants £17 million a year, so he would be on that list.
This means he would earn £327,000 a week.
Ronaldo, meanwhile, tops the Saudis’ crazy salary rankings, with an incredible £3.23 million a week flowing into his bank account.
That’s over £168 million a year, almost ten times what Toney is demanding.
Barcelona legend Neymar is second after Ronaldo, earning £1.62 million a week.

Former Fulham star Aleksandar Mitrovic rakes in £404,000 a week, making him the eighth highest-earning player.
Former Chelsea and Leicester player N’Golo Kante receives the same salary.
Toney would narrowly surpass former Liverpool star Roberto Firmino’s Saudi salary of £307,000 every seven days, making him the 12th highest-earning player in the league.
Meanwhile, Firmino’s former Reds teammate and Ronaldo’s Al Nassr colleague Sadio Mane earns £646,400 a week.

A breakdown of Toney’s potential salary highlights how much Saudi clubs are willing to spend to bring stars to their league.
With the money he wants, Toney would take home £17 million a year, £327,000 a week, £46,714 a day, £1,946 an hour, £32.44 a minute and £0.54 a second.
The move could well cost him his place in the England squad. Former Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson learned this first hand after being left out of the Euro 2024 squad following his move to Al Ettifaq.
And this despite the fact that Toney is only 28 years old.
But with his current contract about to expire and Premier League clubs currently unwilling to step in, Toney could well develop from League One star to a serious Saudi player within four years.
