Ivan Toney’s transfer saga has finally come to an end as the striker moves from Brentford to Al Ahli for £40 million.
The 28-year-old’s future has been the topic of conversation all year after he refused to extend his stay at the Gtech Community Stadium beyond 2025.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal showed interest in the English international.
The Blues had considered a short-term attempt to sign the player, but were unable to convert their interest into a formal offer.
For this reason, Toney has decided to move to Saudi Arabia for three years.
The Pitch Prospect has learned that the former Newcastle centre-forward will pocket £50 million from his contract in the Middle East.
Incredibly, that equates to over £16 million a year.
To break this down further, Toney will earn almost £330,000 a week at King Abdullah Sports City.
Brentford boss Thomas Frank commented on the sale: “It has been a pleasure working with Ivan over the last four years.”
“He has averaged more than one goal in two games, which is an incredible number.
“On the pitch he was a fantastic goalscorer, link player and leader. He drove the team, the squad and himself forward.”
He added: “It’s a wonderful journey we’ve taken together. Ivan has helped the club and the team, and the club and the team have helped Ivan.”

“I am happy that he has the opportunity to try something new in his life and career.
“We thank him for so many magical moments and wish him all the best in his next chapter. Ivan leaves as a Brentford legend.”
Toney has not played a single game this season as he was not included in Thomas Frank’s squad in all three competitions.
The striker leaves west London having scored 72 goals in 141 games since joining Brentford in 2020.
It was a hectic deadline, as Toney is the latest high-profile player to change clubs.
